This work began as a course of study taught for many years in churches served by the author, as well as in several other different venues. This book is written mainly for the persons in the pew and has a minimum of theological terms on seminary level. Where they do appear, an explanation is provided. It is the story of how from many sources some were chosen to be in this library called Scripture. Dr. Babb says, "I submit that most people's knowledge of the Bible comes from what they have heard, not what they have read. Challenges to this claim are met with a question: According to Genesis 7: 1 ff , how many animals of each kind did God tell Noah to take on the Ark? Obviously, my interest is in encouraging people to read the Scriptures for themselves." In this book, the reader will discover a number of interesting facts contained in the Bible that few ever mention. It contains 116 pages with illustrations of key materials.
